Flood Prevention Footprints

　Shanghua Village in Longtan District is home to a “Flood-Autonomous Disaster Prevention Community .” We visited the area to assist local volunteers in the pre-deployment of Flood Guard Barriers.

　We conducted on-site assessments near farmland edges and slopes that are prone to water accumulation and overflow. Based on the findings, we provided guidance on appropriate deployment locations and barrier combinations, and supported the volunteers through their first-time setup. Maintenance and storage instructions were also provided on-site to facilitate future reuse.

　The more familiar the community is with these procedures, the more effectively it can respond in critical moments—laying a strong foundation of resilience through flood preparedness.
