Flood Prevention Footprints

　Another low-lying entrance at Wei Jhen Junior High School in Houlong Township, Miaoli County has also been equipped with a Flood Gate. Designed according to the site's conditions and entrance layout, the Flood Gate was installed at a key access point of this semi-basement area to provide more comprehensive flood protection for the interior.

　Semi-open underground spaces are located at lower elevations, making them more susceptible to water accumulation during heavy rainfall. Once rainwater enters, indoor flooding can occur rapidly. Installing a Flood Gate at this critical entrance effectively blocks rainwater from entering, reduces the risk of water spreading indoors, and also helps minimize mosquito breeding during the summer.
