This training event was jointly organized with the Department of Youth Affairs, Taoyuan City Government, focusing on practical flood preparedness tasks including drainage clearing, Flood Guard Barrier deployment, and hands-on use of Tech Sandbags.
We worked alongside members of the local Taoyuan Youth Volunteer Team (桃青志工隊) to carry out field exercises and explore how different urban layouts impact the use of flood protection equipment and response strategies. The program integrated practical training with disaster education, enhancing the youth volunteers’ emergency response capabilities.
Raising awareness, encouraging concern, and promoting direct participation among younger generations is a driving force behind our commitment to strengthening grassroots disaster resilience.
